Light-O-Rama USB-RS485-HS Adapter & Filtered Cable | High Speed RS485 Interface

Description

The USB485-HS (High Speed) converts the short range USB output of the computer into the industry standard, long range RS485 protocol. It is used to communicate between the PC and LOR light controllers. Only one USB485-HS is used to operate an entire network of LOR controllers. The USB485-HS is designed to work at 500K network speeds (required to run smart pixel motion effects from a PC).

This adapter was sold in a red case prior to 2022. Beginning in 2022, this adapter was sold in a black case with a sticker reading "high speed" to differentiate from the original, discontinued, low speed USB-485 adapter (also sold in a black case).

A filtered 6' USB cable is included.
